In order to successfully support resettled refugees, resettlement practitioners should gain an understanding of the laws and culture of their countries of origin. On 4 November at 3pm (CET), EURITA will be hosting a webinar which will focus on refugees from Iraq, based on the new EURITA resource ‘Cultural Backgrounder: Refugees from Iraq’. The webinar will cover:
– an introduction to Iraqi culture
– the factors causing people to flee the country
– asylum country conditions that refugees from Iraq often experience
– resettlement considerations.
